Sexual and Reproductive Health

Complete physical, emotional, and social wellbeing in matters related to sexuality and reproduction.

SRH Program

Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) is a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being in all matters related to the reproductive system, its functions, and processes. It means that individuals are able to have a safe and satisfying sexual life, the capability to reproduce, and the freedom to decide if, when, and how often to do so, with access to accurate information, quality health services, and respect for their rights, dignity, and bodily autonomy.

SRH is a core component of public health, human rights, gender equality, and Universal Health Coverage, and is essential for individual well-being and sustainable development.

Our Goal

To ensure that all individuals especially adolescents and vulnerable populations can realize their sexual and reproductive rights and achieve optimal physical, mental, and social well-being through access to quality, equitable, and rights-based SRH information and services.

Our Key Objectives

  1. Increase access to quality SRH services including family planning, maternal health, HIV/STI prevention and treatment, and safe abortion care where legal.
  2. Provide comprehensive SRH education and information to empower individuals, especially adolescents, to make informed decisions.
  3. Promote gender equality and prevent sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) through awareness, advocacy, and community engagement.
  4. Strengthen health systems and community structures to deliver integrated, youth-friendly, and rights-based SRH services.
  5. Support adolescents, youth, and vulnerable populations to exercise their sexual and reproductive rights safely and confidently.

Our SRH Focus Areas

  1. Comprehensive SRH Services: We provide access to family planning, maternal and newborn care, safe pregnancy and childbirth, and postnatal care, alongside screening and management of sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
  2. Adolescent and Youth-Friendly Services: We deliver age-appropriate education, counseling, and confidential services for adolescents, young adults, and marginalized groups, empowering informed decision-making.
  3. Menstrual Health and Gender-Based Violence Support: We offer menstrual health education and sanitary products, as well as counseling, referral, and awareness programs addressing sexual and gender-based violence (GBV).
  4. Health Education and Community Engagement: We conduct workshops, campaigns, and community sensitization to promote reproductive rights, safe sexual practices, and reduce stigma within families and communities.
  5. Integrated and Data-Driven Care: We linking SRH services with palliative care, NCD management, and other health services, while using data to monitor outcomes, improve quality, and inform policy.

Our Service Delivery Strategy

Our SRH strategy focuses on providing equitable, comprehensive, and youth-friendly sexual and reproductive health services, including family planning, maternal care, STI prevention, menstrual health, and GBV support. Through community engagement and integrated care, we empower individuals and families to make informed decisions and improve overall wellbeing.
