  • HIV/AIDS prevention and advocacy for behavior change, HIV counseling and testing, treatment and care of the PLHIV.
  • Strengthening the capacity of the community on strategies to combat child malnutrition.
  • Planned Parenthood education and provision of family planning services to willing clients.
  • Malaria prevention and treatment and sourcing/ distribution of long lasting insecticide treated nets.
  • Advocacy campaigns on the ptrevention, treatment, care and management if Diabetes and Cancer diseases.


  • Promoting orphans and vulnerable children and girl child education through scholastic material support and school fees payment.
  • Building the capacity of youths and women in information communication technology through computer application packages training.
  • Research on Literacy and Numeracy competencies of the children aged 6-16 years in Kisii County and dissemination of the research findings for community action.
  • Strengthening education systems with focus to pre-primary and primary schools through building accountable leadership, management and technical capacity in education systems by providing professional development and support to district and education managers, head teachers and their deputies and quality assurance officers. Vines Kenya also works to strengthen community-based support systems and provides ongoing support and mentoring to teachers and head teachers through a School Improvement Program (SIP).

  • Poverty Reduction

    • Building the capacity of youths and women in entrepreneurship skills and empower them to initiate small scale income generating activities to enhance table banking for poverty reduction.
    • Supporting orphan heads, PLHIV and widows with farm inputs to initiate kitchen gardening as income generating activity to fend for their dependents in the community.
    • Managing value addition project in pineapple, avocados and pawpaw juice extraction.
    • Promoting production of local poultry farming.


  • Capacity building institutions, civil society organizations, youths, women and community stakeholders on drug and substance abuse.
  • Public awareness on the Devolution Act and Social Audit for community action.
  • Awareness creation on the need for public participation in county government budget making, project proposals and the entire decision making process.
  • Strengthening child rights and protection interventions and litigation where necessary.
  • Building the capacity of institutions and organized civil society organizations on strategic planning, proposal design and development, project management, financial management and monitoring and evaluation.
